Vendor Feature: Konsider It Done Events
We are really excited about this blog post because we are featuring one of our favorite vendors: Konsider It Done Events! We got in contact with Kris + Tyler and had them answer a few questions about weddings and working with us!
Tell us about yourself and where you’re based!
We are a husband/wife wedding planning duo based out of Phoenix, Arizona. We specialize in local and destination weddings across the globe. I (Kris) am the Lead Planner, while Tyler (my husband) acts as my Sounding Board/Additional Planner. We’ve been doing weddings for about 10 years and throughout those years have come to really love the non-traditional weddings best. Today, that is mostly what our couples come to us for. We have been married for 6 years, together almost 16, and we have 2 toddlers at home that consume all of our daily energy – Becks & Berkley.
What is your favorite part about the planning process with a client?
It sounds cliche to say this, but seeing the entire year and work come together for the final product is honestly our favorite part. We can visualize what the day will look and feel like, but actually seeing it with our own two eyes and feeling the overall vibes of the day are just beyond special. Every wedding day feels different, but the core feelings remain the same- joy, happiness, love, and excitement. Oftentimes clients hire us because they can’t visualize their special day. They THINK they know what they want but might not actually know how to put it into words. Getting to bring that vision to life and seeing their reaction when it’s done is priceless.
Can you share a memory about working with Blue Wave Band?
We had the opportunity to coordinate a destination wedding with Blue Wave Band at the enchanted TreeHouse Point in Fall City, Washington. Our couple was originally from Arizona but decided to have a small, intimate gathering at this seriously magical venue. They hired BWB (and even requested particular members) to come play during the ceremony & reception. The reception was SO fun! There were only about 45 people in attendance, but the environment and rowdiness of the band/ the dancing/ etc made it feel like the biggest and best party EVER!
Share one of your most memorable experiences as a planner.
We recently designed a wedding that was unlike anything we had ever done before. It was the definition of non-traditional and it was truly something out of the norm for everyone involved. Our bride had a very specific vision in her mind but it was hard for us to truly translate everything perfectly to the [many] different vendors who were a part of this wedding. It pushed us to be better and more creative every step of the way. When we finally got to reveal the space to the couple, our bride was in tears and the groom was shocked at what we had created. Everything came together so perfectly and seeing this couple’s reaction was a fantastic reminder of why we do what we do. Why we push the boundaries, never settle, and continue to work harder.
